About Me

Hey there! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a crochet designer, maker, busy mom of two, and lifelong restaurant professional living in sunny Arizona. Life here in the desert has a rhythm of its own—hot summers, beautiful sunsets, and plenty of sunshine year-round. That endless warmth definitely influences what I make and the materials I love working with. You’ll notice that a lot of my patterns use natural fibers like cotton and bamboo—light, breathable, and perfect for our Southwest climate.

My crochet story started way back when I was a kid. My grandmother was the one who taught me—patiently guiding my hands as I learned my first stitches. Some of my favorite memories are sitting beside her with yarn in my lap and a hook in hand. For a while, crochet was just something fun to do, a quiet hobby I shared with her. Like many things, it faded into the background as I got older and life got busier.

Fast-forward to adulthood—working long hours, raising kids, and juggling all the everyday chaos—I found myself looking for something creative, something calming, something mine. That’s when I picked up a crochet hook again. What started as a way to unwind at the end of the day quickly turned into a full-blown passion.

At first, I followed patterns and practiced old skills. But before long, I was sketching my own ideas, experimenting with shapes and textures, and figuring out how to bring my designs to life. I realized how much I loved the process—not just making things, but creating something from scratch, writing it down, and imagining others being able to make it too.

This blog is a place where I share those creations with you. You’ll find original crochet patterns, project inspiration, and hopefully a bit of encouragement to dive into your own creativity. Whether you’re picking up a hook for the first time or you’ve been crocheting for years, I believe there’s always something new to learn, try, or explore.

Outside of crochet, I’ve spent most of my life working in restaurants. It’s fast-paced, demanding, and definitely keeps me on my toes—but it’s also taught me a lot about resilience, multitasking, and finding joy in the little things (like a few quiet minutes with yarn and a good cup of coffee).

Being a mom of two keeps life extra busy, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Crochet is my way of carving out time for myself—it brings me joy, peace, and a chance to create something beautiful with my hands.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you find something here that inspires you to create, relax, and maybe even try something new. Let’s make something together!
